Steve Mc Queen lived in his famous Brentwood home from 1963 until 1974, when he sold the estate to the renowned conductor Zubin Mehta. Located on the exclusive, gated Oakmont Drive, the property is steeped in Hollywood history and offers several interesting features:The Design: The house was originally built in 1944 by the celebrated architect Cliff May. The Garage Life: Like many of Mc Queen's homes, the property was heavily focused on his passion for motorsports. It became a legendary gathering spot where Mc Queen and gearhead friends, like his next-door neighbor James Garner, would hang out until dawn talking about racing lines and mechanics.
